Level 2 Outdoor Food Safety

ABOUT

The course

This one-day Outdoor Food Safety course has been designed to equip anyone catering for children, young people or adults in outdoor settings with the essential knowledge and skills to handle, prepare and cook food safely. Whether you are a Forest School Leader or assistant, nursery practitioner, scouting leader or someone who regularly prepares food for groups outdoors, this Level 2 qualification will help you confidently meet food safety standards in less conventional environments.

Why train with us?

You will learn how to keep both food and your group safe while complying with legal requirements in outdoor settings where access to running water, refrigeration and typical kitchen facilities may not be available. The course blends engaging theoretical learning with practical, hands-on activities that bring key concepts to life.

Assessment is straightforward and consists of a short, written task at the end of the day. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Level 2 Certificate accredited by ITC First. This course can also be delivered for groups – either at Charlotte’s Wood or at your own setting. If you are interested in arranging this, please complete the contact form to discuss your requirements.
